This is the shocking image of a Labrador guide dog being savagely attacked by a pitbull-cross dog in a railway station subway. A 57-year-old blind woman was walking through Cricklewood station when her guide dog, Neela, a brown Labrador, was attacked by another dog.
This was from my first SLR (well, alright, the only). The guy who developed my roll of film was apparently quite impressed with this shot. Before he handed over my photographs, he pulled this one out, showed it to me and was overall quite enthusiastic about it.

In August, Dietmar arrived in a bird reserve located between Dresden and Leipzig suffering from a broken leg. The sanctuary staff did everything they could to help Dietmar, but in the end the limb had to be amputated. However it has now been replaced with a carbon prosthesis.
A police department in Texas in the US has released footage of an over-affectionate cat distracting a policeman trying to issue a ticket to a motorist. The video, filmed by a camera in officer Keith Urban's patrol car, shows the cat crawling up his leg and then onto his head.
